ABOUT THE COALITION

JCDPC

JCDPC formed in 2007 with a vision of a community that makes substance abuse prevention a priority. JCDPC's work is supported through federal funding, local donors, and volunteers.  JCDPC also partners with community organizations to address substances such as prescription medication alcohol, marijuana, tobacco and other drugs. With support and collaboration from our members and partnerships, JCDPC has become a working force in our county, motivating community members to change the culture of substance abuse acceptance. Due to those partnerships, the coalition was able to sustain itself. JCDPC is now housed withing the Jefferson County Health Department and a collaborative part of the Health Network within the Health Department.

About JC Teen Coalition

The Jefferson County Teen Coalition (formerly TAB) is made up of youth from around Jefferson County. JC Teen Coalition allows teens to develop as leaders in their schools through different trainings and conferences around the country. They take what they have learned and turn it into drug prevention campaigns for their peers.
